Our club celebrated 40 years in 2023!
Locations varied prior to 1995.
This historical image from 1995 shows our field at the intersection of Sykesville Rd (32) and Londontown Blvd. The runway was parallel to 32, as shown just to the right of the marker, with the flying airspace over whats now Home Depot & Kohls.
In 2001 we relocated to our present location on the grounds of the Springfield Hospital, thanks to an employee and fellow model flier, Mr, Hank Flaggs.
Each September we vote members into office responsible for leading the club.

Our members fly all types of aircraft, from micro (umx class) sport/aerobatic, gliders, helicopters, Jets, to giant scale 8ft+ wingspan gas powered models!
The club maintains a well manicured 600 ft grass runway. There are multiple multiple pilot stations and run up areas. There is also a club pavilion. We now have solar power for charging batteries!
Our field offers approximately 18 acres of unobstructed airspace!
